The Great Garden (Novel)
Safia Jahanaara, Fia to her friends, has never met her best friend Mikael, nor does she ever intend to. On her eighteenth birthday she’s pulled into the Great Garden, a world where everyone arrives alone.
Except she doesn’t.
Mikael is there with her.
The Garden is a ruthless wilderness shaped by centuries of forgotten wars. Survival is hard for most—but Mikael has wings, a rare migratory Gift, and Fia has enough spark and courage for both of them.
When they uncover a satchel left behind by another pair who arrived together, Fia realizes their connection may be the key to finding their way home.
But Mikael is hiding something, and as the distance between them widens, Fia must decide whether to ignore it or confront him. Either way, she risks to lose the very bond that makes them different.
