I’m back from Montreal, and what a lovely city it is. This was my first trip to Canada and I was delighted to discover walkable streets, kind people, and cheap but delicious food (no, unfortunately, I didn’t try Tim Horton’s).
It was an extremely busy week where I ended up eating leftover snacks for lunch, yet still so much happened. I learned a new philosophy. Procrastination is an act of unkindness to your future self. We tend to see our future selves as strangers whose problems aren’t our problems. So, if you’re doing this, stop. I, unfortunately, continue to do it, just with a bit more guilt.
I also read a Stephen King book after a long time. The Long Walk stood as a reminder at how King can take a simple premise and still completely hook you. The characters, the fatigue, the psychological terror were simply brilliant.
And, finally, I had a chance to hear several different perspectives from widely different people, which is always fun, but also got a reminder of the well-known fact that nothing brings people closer than a shared nemesis. So, you all who annoy everyone around you, you’re doing God’s work. Keep at it.
New chapters also out, of course! I actually did manage to post one last week, too, but didn’t get a chance to send out the update. Two more added this week. Enjoy!
